At Bright Star Therapy, we believe meaningful support starts with getting to know the person — their strengths, interests, communication style, and the people who are important to them.
Our approach is genuine, individualised and relationship-focused. We work alongside children, adults, families and other important people to provide speech pathology support that is meaningful, functional and focused on the goals that matter most to each person.

Assessment and therapy to support speech sound development and clearer communication.

Support for understanding and using language across everyday settings.

Support for early interaction, play and communication development.

Assessment, trials and implementation of augmentative and alternative communication systems.

Support for the literacy skills that underpin reading, writing and spelling.

Working collaboratively with families, educators and support teams to provide guidance, strategies and advocacy.
Other areas of support, including social communication and feeding/mealtime support, may also be available. Please get in touch to discuss your individual needs.

Nathan Brown | Speech Pathologist, CPSP
Nathan is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist who values genuine relationships and taking the time to get to know the person behind the goals.
His approach is individualised, collaborative and evidence-based, with a focus on meaningful support that reflects each person’s strengths, communication needs and goals.
Nathan works with children and adults across speech, language, AAC, early communication and literacy, and enjoys working alongside families, educators and support teams.
Before becoming a speech pathologist, Nathan spent more than 15 years working in education as a teacher and school principal. This experience brings a strong understanding of learning, literacy and the classroom environment, and continues to shape his approach to supporting speech, language and literacy development and working collaboratively with educators.
As a parent of neurodivergent children, Nathan also brings lived experience and an appreciation of what it can be like for families navigating therapies, supports and everyday life.
Outside of work, Nathan enjoys gardening, fishing, playing golf and spending time outdoors with his family.

Self-managed and plan-managed participants are welcome.
